Class always tells. Class is the impression I had when I first heard about SARA and Kathleen Prasad. I knew right away that I wanted to work with her, and affiliate myself with an organization that has such high values and ethics.
My name is Jane Sparks from Missoula, Montana. I retired as a business owner four years ago, and moved to Montana from Minneapolis. One of the things that I said I wanted to do in retirement was to give back to the local Humane society using Reiki for animals. I had obtained my Reiki master designation a few years earlier through the William Rand Lineage, but had not really done much with the teachings. I was blessed with the Humane Society of Western Montana being open to such sharing with their animals. When I heard about SARA from one of their other volunteers, I researched it along with other organizations advertising animal Reiki. I was so impressed with the professionalism, dedication, values, and ethics of SARA, Kathleen, and Leah that I signed up for Reiki III teacher certification at the SARA Foundation in Florida.
Unfortunately, in the industry, one can find many teachers whose standards are not clear or teaching is accurate. SARA’s code of ethics for the organization, credence, especially when approaching shelters, sanctuaries, veterinarians, et cetera, and working with them. I feel it is critical for us to stand as a trusted and reliable nonprofit organization to maintain those high standards.
